I must say that is a really cool animation! I especially like the way the dorsal fin expands just before he zooms off. You did a nice job making the bass come to life! :)

I've been looking and TRYING to make a good texture for the bass for such a long time! Thanks a ton! Wait a second...ahh they are Mac! I don't have the model for Mac...uh oh. I'm buying a Powerbook G4 soon, but I bought the PC version, I'm screwed!

I don't know...I just can extract it cuz its a Mac sit. Are the versions the same, I assume they are.

I don't know anything about it, really. I downloaded the texture (thanks again, Man O' War!!), but I don't have stuffit expander, which is all you need. It's free, I know that, but I haven't run a search for it yet. I'll let you know what happens as soon as I do.

Stuffit expander is free with versions for both PC and Mac. The maps should work for PC as they are jpegs. I would have gone with .tifs as the originals, but the download would have been a lot more lengthy timewise. Thanks to the Vue crew here for getting me off my duff:) manowar

Hi, I see I was too late! I just downloaded the expander and installed it. The "ReadMe file is a .MACW (?) file, but renaiming it with a .txt extension opens it up to make it readable. And the textures ROCK! Great stuff, there Man O'War and thanks again!

The bass texture is teriffic--- I'm having troubles with the maxillae, though... Not really sure what to do to get it "real" looking. But it's FAR better than the one that DAZ sells with the bass!

ok how did they do those particle effects in poser? materials? thats all I can think of...or LOL many many little sphere models;)

Sorry for the delay, but I was in Chicago for a week. The clip with particles was done in Electric Image. The bass obj/mat was brought into a .fact file format with Obj2Fact, maintaining the uv coordinates. As to the maxillae problem, I'm not sure what that is. In some of Poser's stock lighting layouts, the white belly and jaw came off gray. This was solely a lightling problem. The maxilla does have some scales coming down into the white "lip", but as I stated in the READme, if this is left such, it comes off as a tear when the mouth/maxilla is extended; thus the near solid color.
