Subject: uploading created content

Hello all,

I want to upload some poser content I have created using 3Ds Max to give back
to the community here, because I have downloaded lots of people's work.

I am fairly new to the 3D art world, and am not sure how to prepare my creations
for upload so that they are the right size, and include all the files so people can
use them easily and have fun with them. Can anyone help me out, direct me to
the best way to prepare content to upload here to renderosity.

Thanks in advance, and thank you to all the great artists here for all the excellent
content, some of which will be included in my future works that will be posted here
in the future.

Marcus

Hi Marcus

There's a freestuff forum in which I'm sure you'll get the answers you need.  The moderator there is Jumpstartme2.  I believe karen1573 is a Freestuff type person also.

I'd ask either of those folks for advice.

the main sticking point for me is a place to host them..;) There have recently been some sites that will allow you to post models for download, and possibly even pay you for it. They've showed up in Freestuff, I just wish I could remember the names...:|

Depending on what you've made, we can steer you to some of the specialty places, should you wish. I've got a couple things at Traugs (or did..;), and a few at Planit3d. 3d cafe` used to have oodles of the stuff, etc. Zillions of sites..just tell us more.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
