Subject: Ultimate Wings questions

Carioca ( ) posted Fri, 27 July 2007 at 12:46 AM · edited Tue, 23 July 2024 at 9:26 PM

How good are the Ultimate Wings? Are they the best angel wings available for Poser? How easy is it to use this product (like making poses with it)? Can this product be used to create a winged horse? Does it work well in Poser 7? Does it render without any problems in Poser 7?

Thanks in advance!

Best angel wings IMHO are EtuJedi's wings over at Rawart.. they are rigged where ever single feather even moves.

Granted, they aren't stylized like some wings are, but they are, bar none, just the best.

While technically EtuJedi's wings are bird wings, they are the only poser wings I know of where every single feather is manipulated properly, and that fold or open 100% realistically.

RDNA also has a free version of the Angelyna wings with EP. You need the originals for it to work :)

Fy

PS You will also find additional textures for the wings in the freebie section at 3D Commune that I made a looooong time ago. Eagle feathers, owl feathers, and a few more :)

Thanks for helping with comments and links, people! Can the Angelyna wings and the EtuJedi's wings be used to create a winged horse? Also, can someone answer the other questions I asked? How good are the Daz Dreamer Wings?

Wings can be used on anything. Just place it  using the XYZ Trans Dials and parent it to the body part.

As I already replied, no one at all to date has rigged wings as accurately as EtuJedi's. He spent months reverse engineering real bird's wings, and building in rigging and ERC so hsi wings could move exactly like a real bird's do. That's why they can accutately fld, and others cannot.

Some wings have a toal of 3 bones. I think EtuJedi's have like 20 for each wing. (Maybe more.. I never counted them.) And when the wing in manipulated, all the feathers manipulate just like in real life.

Do you have a link to them?  I was just there and I see something  listed in "Fantasy World" and "Animal World" called "Feather Wings" by Shattered Image 3D.  Are those the ones you mean?

Thanks for the info Garee, and the link Acadia! Those wings look fantastic! How long does it usually take to get download links from Rawart? Nevermind.....I found them....

Pretty fast, if not right away. I forget how Ron has the store setup, but the last time I bought something, I had the download link within 5 minutes I think.
