Subject: The $5 bonus reward for members - Badly implemeted!

PXP ( ) posted Sat, 28 July 2007 at 12:53 PM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 6:55 PM

I may not be alone with my observation about the $5 bonus reward for members. Firstly I didn't know about the offer because my browser link to Renderosity is bookmarked to go STRAIGHT to the MarketPlace section and NOT the home section where this offer is being made.

Secondly this offer should be automatically added to any purchase that a member makes from the time when the offer was started or until the time that the offer expires, and the member should be made aware about this offer when checking out to complete a purchase.

If a number of other members have not claimed the reward yet then these are very likely the reasons for their ignorance about it.
As for myself I have been buying some products from the store but now find myself unable to use the voucher which expires very soon because I have already purchased items that I wanted so what happens now?

Hi PXP, Thanks for the suggestions. We will keep thiose in mind going forward.

I'll make sure the $5.00 GC is used against one of your recent orders. I'll be able to take care of this on Monday and will send you an E-Mail with the details.

Thanks for shopping at Renderosity!

Thanks Clint - it would be nice if future offers and gifts to members can be added directly to their purchases at the time of checking out, that is if they want to use the gift/bonus or voucher at that time without their having to go through the process of clicking on buttons and finding the bonus/voucher or gift and adding it onto their account manually.

I'm not even seeing how the voucher is implemented. I was at the point of entering my credit card but the $5 had not been subtracted. I have to agree with PXP completely. I wouldn't have even known about it if a friend didn't tell me. As it is I'm poised to buy some things, but can't see how the voucher is going to be used...

Well, I found it by chance, by looking under My Account and then Gift Certificates.

I really think you guys could have made it more obvious, like saying where to find it right on the home page where the notice was.

I tried to use my $5 gift certificate a half hour before the listed expiration of 11:59 pm CST Aug 31, but it says it's already expired! :( (Yeah, I know I procrastinated...)

It says it expired at 23:23, but it should have been 23:59!

*I found out about the Gift Certificate within the Rosity newsletter they're kind enough to send out. If you're a fan of keeping up with the latest deals and promotions, might I recommend signing up for the newsletter? There's always great information in there regarding sales, gift certificates, promotions and free products!

*hugs*
