is there any kind of cache for poser ?? if i render 3 or 4 models it slows more n more down every time. and almost wont render v4 at all. i still got 60 gb room on my hard drive if it would help to make virtual memory or so but just 512 mb ram. i love poser but it gets boring if i gotta open n close it every couple of renders.. any suggestions?

You might need more RAM. I recently upgraded from 512 to 2 gigs and it's a huge difference in both posing highly populated scenes and in being able to do multiple renders without having to close Poser.

I also use Memturbo http://www.memturbo.com/ which allows you to defrag RAM lost from multiple renders and other tasks. This helps in not having to close and reopen Poser all the time.

The slowdown is because it already is resorting to virtual memory, which basically means using your hard drive instead of real memory. Real memory is thousands of times faster than disk.

Get more memory - seriously. Don't buy anything else until you have 2 gig.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
