Thank you so much to those who voted, and congratulations to the other winners also.

I didn't expect to see my image chosen after my absence!!

Congratulations to the winners!!! :)
So Danny you made a try to create a collage.....and you did well.....!!!
with a bit practice and spent some time in it.....you can make the LWITG as well....
it looks much nicer then only adding links....
so I look forward to see you first try and with me more members I guess

hope you don't mind that I point this....

One neat surprise is seeing who entered the image since we vote openly but the images artists are unknown.  Congrat!

Congrat to Richard and thanks to make my place possible by voters. Nice collage Danny.

Yes, the collage is nice and the links work!

Tunde, as I said previously, it is nice to be surprised at the "author" of the photo. I happened to vote for two of the top three entries. This system of voting works pretty well, agreed?

Your image is a fine one. Will this be posted on your gallery for comments?

Literally, some images I dismissed right off but came down to a longer list than expected of choices. In the final run, I could have flipped a coin for the winning choice. It was that close to even in my interpretastion of fine work.   Thanks so much for the photo. All is appreciated very much....even if mine got few votes...oh my...but it truly wasn't up to the winners by any leap.

Well done to all.  I really like this genre challenge!       Tom.

Richard...by any chance this winner of yours is HDR shot? Just curious.  The very slippery water and fine range of color is why I ask.      Very well done.      Tom.

babuci ( ) posted Mon, 30 July 2007 at 11:35 PM

Yes Tom this system works realy well and can be hold surprises sometimes...I guess.   Yes I will post it in a gallery soon. I am on holiday and I have a special upload for my 400th . So I have to hold back on this shot.

And good question about Richard's winning capture. Looks so HDR.

My image is not an hdr - it is a straight shot as it came from the camera, The only postwork involved is RAW conversion, resizing and sharpening.

The capture was made with my Canon 30D,Sigma 10-20mm & Manfrotto 190proXB tripod.
Filters used were: ND8 graduated, ND8 and a Lee circular polariser mounted in that order starting from the camera body.  Lee filter holder.

RAW processed with Capture One,
PS CS2 used to postwork16 bit Tiff for an image suitable for the web and to an A3+ size print.

The picture is of The old bridge at Sligachan, Isle of Skye, Scotland.
