I used mocap for some of the running but edited it quite a bit because it didn't match the V3 model very well. THANKS for the nice comments. Max renders area shadows really quickly so the rendering was fast. That's probably the biggest advantage (being able to get quick renders with shadows) of using BodyStudio.
Thanks again for the appreciation. You guys rock.
This is really good. The professor in th opening scene had amazingly natural movement. Most amature animators would have settled for just moving his mouth. And the surprise ending was classic. You should consider submitting this short to local cable channels. They might run a good short like this just for the heck of it.

I thought some of you might get a smile from this short animation I did for the San Francisco 3-minute FilmFest. The festival is really just a big party and excuse to watch a bunch of quickie films. All entries had to be made completely during the month of July and since most people have real life to contend with, it usually means whipping something out over a weekend or two. Thanks to Stonemason's uber-cool sets I was able to put it together the last week of July. Obviously, the motion is rough in a lot of places and the lip-synch really bad. However, the whole point was just to have fun and turn in something a little different from the rest of the crowd. Anyway, I assure you that I'm aware of the many technical flaws ... this most definitely isn't high art! Oh, and the only way rendering 3-minutes of Poser animation was possible in the short time was to use BodyStudio and StudioMax. What a pleasure to get such quick renders (most scenes had frames rendering between 10 and 20 seconds).
