Hey congrats on that. I just put together a 933 P3 with a lotta DDR ram my self. I tell you, about noticing the speed increases, you only really notice them the first few times you use your regular programs but after a while -- a week or two? -- you -- at least I -- don't really notice it anymore because it is now the norm and after a couple of months I notice myself drooling over ads for faster faster faster. Just my $.02. Soon to be $0.5 I think. Larry F PS: Of course, being in California, one has to consider speed because these days you have to hurry before the power goes off.
I'm glad to hear that it all went well for you Jody :D There is nothing worse than having to put up with unexpected hassles...espiecally computer hassles. Cheers

Fox: You can get Norton Ghost Personal Edition and PowerQuest DriveImage at places like Staples, Office Max, ect. jarm: What I meant was do an image after the clean install. I usually set up my network connections, email, performance tuning, install winzip, then do an image and burn it to a CD. The next time I want to reformat all I have to do is wipe C:/ out and restore the image and install my apps. Rich
All backup info is GOOD INFO... It's getting to be a war-zone on the internet- my hardware and software firewalls get hit all the time and entire websites are being knocked down in some cases. I would advise EVERYONE to create a fully restorable backup of their key C: drive settings and all other key files on other drives. There are people lurking at Renderosity and elsewhere who seem to want to get into everyone's computer to do bad things and you need to be very careful...

I'm back up and running with all a totally rebuilt system running at 1.2ghz. It's good to be back :-)
