Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

I'm having a tad of trouble with the DAZ-Desert Eagle (at the moment), but I've noticed the same bubbling effect shown in the gun picture included in other renders of mine. Usually weapons.
Actually always weapons, or more specifically guns. MP5 does the same thing sometimes and several other handguns also.
Ok after previewing the thread I'm now posting here at renderosity for help, I'm noticing that the file size skewing renderosity.com/forums does for bandwidth purposes I'm assuming,  isnt showing the distortion like my renders I make show. Lemme try another angle to show it more betta...

Do you have smooth polygons on? If so turn it off, it distorts some props.

Anniebel is right.  The geometry is a little too simple.  You can still use smoothing in the render options, just disable it for that prop on its properties tab.

that's in production setting for render (at least in Poser 5). The regular one doesn't have as many problems.

What do you mean the regular one?  I've got almost all of my poser stuff installed into both poser 5 and 7, but tend to want to use the poser 7 application more lately even though I'm way more comfortable using poser 5's features.
Poser 7's the newest and I didnt buy it to revert to using an older edition (no matter how much easier it is to work with).

So the main thing is to uncheck the smooth polygon box from the prop properties window and I can then leave the main properties smooth poly box checked , correct?
This should eliminate the ballooning effect I hope.

Thanks to you who once again dropped a nug of know-how my way, you rock.

You're welcome, methhead.  One of the first things I did when I got P5 was to import my Wright Flyer and render it.  All those bracing wires were quite simple because there were a crapload of them.  It looked like it had mated with a balloon animal!

There's still a dent in my desk where my chin dropped ;)
