tamy ( ) posted Wed, 15 August 2007 at 3:56 PM · edited Mon, 27 January 2025 at 3:16 AM

Hi everyone

I have m3 character (from daz3d) & I have cloth for m3 to. I want that cloth will be part integral of m3. not conform cloth !

I mean like simon g2 or don that up when poser open.

If someone know a way or tutorial that explain the process to make it.

 Thanks for all the answers

I'm a little confused.

Are you saying that you have Michael 3 and some Michael 3 clothing and you want the clothing already on Michael when you load Michael into the scene?

If that is the case, then just load Michael, add the clothing and conform it to Michael, and then save Michael with all of his clothing back to the Figure's library.

can't be done for M3 - you have to conform the clothing to him unless you have a second skin or something like that I suppose

I wish I knew what was wanted. I have no idea what "integrel of M3 like Don" means.  I can't see the screenshot so I have no clue.

The only other thing that comes to my mind are second skins or colouring material zones in the material room.

I have a feeling the op is referring to the figure that comes in when poser starts - he starts off fully clothed

If that's the case you can do that with any figure as I described above.

Just load the figure, add the clothing, conform the clothing and then save the whole thing back to the figure's library.  I do that with V3 and the Morphing Fantasy Dress because it's a pain to have to apply all of the parts each time.  So when I want to use V3 with the MFD, all I do is load the V3 figure that I saved with the MFD on her.

Here is a tutorial on how to save a figure with clothing on it:

I agree with FrankT, the op seems to want a M3Casual, like James Casual or the P4 dressed figures. Curious that the family oriented DAZ3d never created and included dressed versions of their figures.

look good don or simong2 figurs it come with the cloth one part you unable separated the cloth from dor or simong2. like this i need m3 with cloth one part.

i try to up the file again.

i need the model with cloth & bones for 3dmax & i have all the plugins that know to export figur from poser to 3dmax but all the plugins able to export the body without the cloth or with cloth but not conform.
i have body studio but i need to control the animation in 3dmax not in posrt
i have pomax is unabable to export the cloth conform.
i have pCharacter is the same like pomax & is crash when i try to impot figur with cloth.
i have collada & is the same like pomax & pCharacter.

now if i try to export  don or simong2 from poser to the 3dmax it come with cloth because the cloth & figur is one mesh. but i need m3 not don or simong2.........

Ahhh, I know what you want now.

Frank is right, you can't do that with the clothing for the Millennium figures like Michael, Victoria Aiko etc.

However if you want clothing that is actually part of the figure, you can use "second skins" which are skin textures textured so that they look like clothing.

Here is a link where you can find some FREE second skin textures for Michael.  You apply them just like you would a skin texture, using the Pose room. There won't be any files in the Character folder like you would find with regular clothing:

You could revise the geometry of the original figure to contain clothes rather then body parts, but that's pretty advanced stuff. I haven't tried doing it, so I don't know if it's an idea that would actually work. Seems like it might.
Other then that, there really isn't a good way to go from Poser to Max the way you want to do it.

You could try exporting the figure alone, then importing clothes obj's separate in Max and skinning them.  Again, Thechnically it should work, but not something I tried doing yet.
