I DLd the WWII GI helmet from the ww3d site and it is transparent. When placed on a head the head shows thru the helmet altho tramsparency settings are at 0. Does anyone know how to make it opaque?

It should be opaque when you render. the GI helmet is the same - Don't know why! Makes it easy to position though.

If a prop (such as hair for the most typical example) has transparent areas, the entire material group will often show as dotted lines in the workspace no matter what settings you use. Render it (check your render settings... don't render the display settings). The render window ought to show what it really looks like. Carolly
