Subject: Victoria 4 Remap Complete!
I'm talking with Keren, as I'm thinking of holding an art contest to kick off the sales. My idea is contestents should pose one of my Freestuff figues with ANY unimesh one, so that both are textured exactyly the same. The idea is to see and show just how well they complement and contrast with each other. First prize will be a free copy of my UVS file.

Can't wait!! but...with any uvs "re-map" (I have done many for animals) one has to delete the original obj (saving a back up copy of course!) so that then the obj that works with the unimesh maps will map/texture properly. I have no idea if you can have TWO obj's? So will your re-map uvs have instructions on how to set this up?
Really really want this! :)

I'm awaiting an email from DAZ, affirning what was quoted above. The Renderosity people said that I needed a direct affirmation from them, and not a 3rd party quote in order to go ahead.
At the time that I sent the email, I was infromed that it might take 5-7 day of answer. That was five days ago. Some of you may also like to email DAZ to hurry them up with it.

This is IMO the easiest and fastest way to create a new figure from David's UV file:

Open UV Mapper

Import the blMilWom_V4b.obj file from the DAZPeople folder in your geometries directory.

Import the new UV file.
-
Save the remapped object anywhere you like.

Open Poser and import the remapped object file. (Do NOT move it and UNselect ALL import options Poser offers by default)

Enter setup room and browse to the V4.1 cr2 in your character folder to copy the bones and morphs.
(Just click on the V4.1 icon. Poser will do the rest for you.) -
Go back to the pose room and save your remapped V4.1 to any figure folder you like.
No need to fiddle with cr2's in a text editor, make a backup copy, or any other stuff like that.
Hey! I am dyslexic, I don't deal in bones... I will just hope I can remap- save with NEW NAME and then open a cr2 copy of V4 as a text file, and tell it to POINT TO the new name of the obj.... (I just mentally pictured that all, bet it would work!)

Hi David,
Yes, it is perfectly legal and acceptable to redistribute or sell a .uvs file for Victoria. These types of files do not contain any proprietary data, so that is fine.

We spoke formerly on the phone. I’ve remapped the Daz figure Victoria 4.1 so that it will be compatible with Victoria 3 texture maps. I wish to market this remap as a UVS file (no objects, materials, or textures included). In order to do so, I need written confirmation from you that there wouldn’t be any violation of copywrite in doing so. Therefore I most respectfully request that such confirmation be provided, by email, so that I may pass it on to the Renderosity MP.

I've just recieved the Green Light from Renderosity's Marketplace Manager, and have already uploaded the zip to the MP. Keren said that she'd look it over this weekend to see what was missing / needed adiing. All systems are GO for liftoff.
