I am looking for some amateurs, novices or pro's who would like to take part in a short animation rendered entirely in Carrara.  I think this would be a good opportunity to learn something new and contribute something back to the community as well as show others what Carrara is and what it can do.

There are a couple requirements but nothing to serious.

  • All assets need to be original works (Models, Textures, Lighting, Animations and sound)
  • All of the compiled frames must be rendered in Carrara.
  • If you want to work on this you need to contribute.
  • If you have questions or need help, ask. (after all this is to learn from)
  • We decide what needs to be done as community not as an individual.
  • This is a free project please don't expect payment for any part of it.

This project will take awhile from start to finish to complete and by the end of it we will have gained some great experience. If you feel you can spare some free time to work on this let me know what area you would like to be involved in.

What is needed.

  • Writers
  • Story board designers
  • Asset management
  • Scene director
  • Character designers
  • Character animators
  • Prop designers
  • Prop animators
  • Texture artists
  • Lighting and lighting animation
  • Camera framing and animation
  • Special FX
  • Voice actors
  • Sound designer (composer)
  • Sound and voice sync and assembly

I'm sure there are other areas not listed feel free to add them in, I hope that this can be something fun for everyone to participate in.

Can you give more detail as to the nature of the project? i.e., the story of the film, projected length, distribution,  etc.
