Subject: Blinking Textures

Hi! I have animation, where camera moves along object with a lot of small details. And shadows around this details are blinking. I have tried: Broadcast, Soft Shadows, Baking - no help. Any more solutions, maybe?

What is happening is known as "flickering", which is an artifact that happens in animations, mostly whith animated objects. To get rid of it, you have some options, but you didn't say which version of Vue you are using, and some options are available for Vue Infinite only.

So it is flickering, at least now I can google it. I use Vue Infinite 6.

Well, googling is not much help... Anyone? :)

To eliminate the flicker, you will likely need to increase the atmosphere quality (in the atmo editor) and/or the effects quality (in the render options box).

Flickering shadows may have different causes, but are often related to objects in motion in combination with shadow maps.
You may experience the same problem if your light is placed at a far distance and your shadow map is too small.
Turning to raytraced shadows for objects in motion may well solve the problem, but the render time will increase.

I forgot to add that when you render at very large sizes, many artifact issues disappear.
You might try this on a few test frames. Good luck!
