Subject: Shreck-- how'd they do it?

Just saw Shreck-- a really terrific movie in every way, definitely a candidate for best film of the year! I loved the great story, terrific characters, Eddie Murphy's and Mike Myers' great voice characterizations. But most of all, of course, the incredible 3d animation! I'm not an animator, but I'd love to hear what they used to make this great film!

Under the behind the scenes go to facts and then Technology. They have a pretty good write up on it. I was shocked to see they actually grew the forest. That's almost like cheating..:)

The above-mentioned tech section hints at it, but it's basically a proprietary system at PDI (www.pdi.com). That's all I've been able to find out so far.
