The glass is gorgeous Jay, I like the bales too, I remember summer afternoons stowing them in the loft! Cool ghost images! Radlafx!

Wow, a lot of new images and banter since I last visited. Luv those multiple face images Dovid -- played around with that a bit myself while in college taking photo classes. Hey, to be a "Kosherpaparazzi", do you have to get the rabbis to bless each photo, or just your camera? ;'] Nice rusty behemoth there astro. I was on one of my new lunch time walks and found this Konica/Minolta headquarters near where I work. I may take a look inside one day. Maybe they give out free samples. Camera/lens samples, not hairpeices -- sorry James. ;']

I've got a list of the best places to see Bald Eagles in the wild broken down geograpically. This is apparently the season for them to be low in over large bodies of water. Anyone interested?

Nice view there Kort, although being a country boy I'm more at home surrounded by open  fields and woods. 😄

Here's a rare sighting... a gardener hard at work... oh wait... it's ME!!! (I balanced the camera on the ladder I use to cut the top of the hedge ! )

WOW! That's one big hedge! Do you ever get to do those animals and stuff? The stair step thing with the one in back is cool.

astro66 ( ) posted Fri, 14 September 2007 at 1:33 PM

Afraid not, it takes me long enough to cut  in a straight line let alone start doing all the fancy stuff, lol. The hedge I'm cutting in the pic takes me approx. 3 days to cut including clearing away all the rubbish. One day for each side and 1 day for the top. If you were to add up all the time it takes I probably spend something like 3 or 4 weeks just hedgecutting....

A hedge that size! Pop a roof on and move in! Lovely blooms gentlemen! And a delightful image of the seaside village.

Cute duckilings there, nice daffodil too is that a recent shot? Ours won't be out for another 6 months or so, lol. Love the panorama too!

Actually cutting the big hedge is easy compared to this lot, note the smaller 'flag' in the background. Dwarf Box hedging looks easy to cut but one small slip of the machine and you have a great big bare patch - I know I've done it often, lol. Fortunately it does grow back fairly quick.

Lovely design Andy. Since we are on the subject, here is a hedge outside a housing development I pass every workday. I like how it winds in and out around the trees. Must not be easy to do.
