Subject: Lightwave Objects/Scenes NOW visible in Vue6xStream (VueExport2)

Hi All,

I want to make you aware of a very cool new plugin called VueExport2, which I have had the pleasure of testing.

If you, like myself use Lightwave and Xstream, and are frustrated that your LW objects/scene are NOT visible in vue, making it almost impossible to know where your objetcs are, when adding vue elements.

Now you can have your Lightwave objects visible and perfectly positioned and scaled to match your lightwave scene in Vue5/6 xstream/Infinite.

Check out these video tutes I made showing you how it works, you'll get excited trust me! Check out the VE2 website and download the demo.

VueExport2 Website.

There are two plugins...VueExport2 and LF_VueSynch. (LF_VueSynch is FREE..ignore my comments in the video...the demo version of VE2 has all the functions as the full version..Global rescale etc.)

Thanks Steven, for an excelent plugin!

This is cool. I does something like this exists for C4D?

Unfortunatly no.

Only for Lightwave.

Oh well it's still cool! :)

Thanks Ivan. I've been wanting to get into this - but it's not been very straight-forward and easy to understand. If this works well, we'll be getting a couple of the plugins!

Thanks for the info and tutes!

Hi Megalodon,

I hear you (I have to laugh, Steven has a thick accent)...Thats the major reason I made the tutes for him.
After testing the plugins, and adding my 2 cents, I think its a brilliant tool. The global rescale has made all the difference. Working in vue with the global scale set to 1(as it would have been when using vuesynch) is impossible.

I wish I could have made the plugins...way too dumb for that :)

Hope it works out for you.

Ivan,

One quick question. Does this work with LW64bit? I would assume it does since it's LScript - but just wanted to make sure. Considering the price, I think I'll just go ahead and get one copy. If it works as I think it will I will get at least one additional copy for another machine.

Thanks!

Hi Megalodon,

Steven was also asked this question in the CG talk forum...His answer was he'll look into it, so I would say (I'm definatly no expert on this matter) that it doesn't. All I can suggest is to try the demo, if it works cool, otherwise send Steven an email...I'm sure he will definatly look at making it happen.

Heres the cgTalk thread.
