Subject: How do you save V4 Expressions in Poser 6?

unitychild ( ) posted Thu, 13 September 2007 at 9:22 AM · edited Sun, 24 November 2024 at 6:05 AM

I want to make some expressions to add to my newest character pack, but I am not sure how to save them. Can someone either tell me or link me to an easy tutorial? Thanks!

Make your expression.

When you're in the Expressions library and click the + to save, you have the option 'Select Subset'. This should take you to 'Head' and 'Parameters'. Make sure to turn off any character-specific morphs here - i.e. ensure that just the parameters making the expression are selected. This option is available in Poser 6 and 7, I don't know about earlier versions.

Oops, I'd been meaning to speak up about this earlier - if I remember correctly some expressions won't save properly in any version of Poser, because they use ERC channels that won't be included when saving.  Two choices - save in DAZ Studio, and they'll load correctly in Poser, or someone has a script somewhere that will save properly (I don't know the details).

Thank you!! That worked!! It is pretty time-consuming clicking off all those boxes, but it works, so I am happy!!:)
