somebody knows how to make clouds Cumulus Nimbus (using metaclouds) that really seems to be real? that really seems to have volume?
I saw some cloud images, here in the site, but the most impressive do not pass of cloud photos that had been placed to the background.
These links possess cloud photos of cumulus, and is this level of realism that I want to arrive.

Is possible this realism in Vue?
If somebody will have some tutorial, please sends to me, my email is lazie@bol.com.br

Look at the picture currently featured on the Backroom page. It includes some fairly decent cumulus (cumuluses ? cumuli ?).

I hate to say this, but I think it's very difficult (if not impossible) to make detailed looking cumulus clouds in Vue as it stands today.  The fundamental problem is creating the puffy details on the inside of the cloud.  You can get cumulus details on the outside edges but I have yet to achieve this detail on the inside of the cloud body.

I agree with you dburdick. I sent an email to Vue with suggestions.

Vue is an excellent tool, but for example with relation the clouds the Terragen 2 Preview obtains to make very better. This is a weak point of the Vue. I wait that they improve this in the next version.

I think Vue 6 makes some very nice looking Cumulus clouds. Here are a couple of quick sets ups with Vue's default atmosphere with cumulus meta clouds added.

and with some godrays peeping through.. All were quick renders on "final" ..I suppose that's why they're not as sharp as they could be.

While this certainly isn't 'there', it does show some promise for creating cloud masses in Vue. Some of the shapes are decidedly unrefined...I think with some more time and playing with textures it might just work.
