Subject: Slight Problem On Market Place Product Pages...

AdamWright ( ) posted Thu, 13 September 2007 at 3:48 PM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 10:03 AM

On the MP product pages, where it should say "other best-selling items" and list other items by the vendor, it says "item currently out of stock".   :)

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have alerted the programmers.

This is now fixed, FYI

Thanks again

Another marketplace problem that I've reported still hasn't been fixed.  When you click on the username of someone who has left a comment and rating, instead of taking you to that persons homepage where you might be able to see what they've done with the product in their gallery, it takes you just back up to the top of the product page.
That is something I'd like to see fixed.

Thank Kendra, I have forwarded this to the Marketplace staff

This should be fixed as well now Kendra.

Let me know:)

Seeing that you are in the fixing mood :)

Before the MP change you could get to the vendor's homepage from their MP. Now you can't.  I like to check out if vendors have freebies available...kind of a sample of their work so to speak.  Currently I just paste their name into member search, go to their homepage and then their contribution area, but that is very round about.  Is there anyway that their homepages can be linked to from their store?

**Before the MP change you could get to the vendor's homepage from their MP. Now you can't.
**
actually you can, and i'm pretty sure it's been like this since the site overhaul when things were moved to php...[??]

when in the MP and viewing an item, you'll see near the top and off to the right [across from pricing info] the name of the vendor[s], and then right next to it a link in brackets that says "contact".  clicking on the "contact" link drops you right onto the person's homepage on the "Bio" section.  click the tab that says "Artist Input" and you'll be able to see if they have anything in freebies or not...  it used to be that you'd drop right onto the IM or Email functions that were on everyone's pages at the bottom until the new Homepages were implemented - now you need to have that extra click on the Input tab to get to a person's link into FreeStuff instead of just scrolling up like you use to prior to the homepage changes...

hope this helps :))

Duh you are correct Giana... I forgot about that....  It wasn't going to the homepage at first when we got the new homepages live but we got it fixed right away and we did want it to go straight to the Contact page but due to having the tabs now, it has to go to the main bio page and then that extra click to get to the contact page.

Thanks for pointing that out.. I don't know where my head was, lol

Ahhh ok! Thanks! It must have changed with the implemtation of the new homepages. Before that the  contact went to the PM message box not the homepage.

All is well in my world now :)  hehe

Before it  still went to the homepage still just down to the bottom where the contact info was I believe?

exactly, Stacey...

on the old homepages, at the top were links to a person's Store and to a page that would have any/all free stuff items that person had uploaded here...

then it was the "bio" and picture area...

then a person's highlighted or most recent post; then 3 images in their gallery and a link to said gallery...

then the favourite artist stuff, followed my favourite merchants...

and then at the very bottom were two contact boxes: one to IM a person from and the other to send an email directly based on the addy in the database that was affiliated w. that person's profile info...

Thats what I remembered too. It did go to the homepage it was just all on one page then so....Now because of the "tabbed" pages it has to go to the "main" homepage tab then you click contact from there....

Thanks Giana
