Hi... I am having a real problem creating morph targets in Truespace4.3. I am exporting the mesh from Poser in Wavefront format,(as morph target) importing into Truespace (original size) manyupulating the mesh (not adding or deleting vertices)and using 3DExplorer to convert back to Wavefront. However when I import my mesh as a morph target in poser, when I move the dial I just get a bizarre mutation, it seems the mesh is either turning inside out and/or doing a horizontal flip. I could really do with some help here as I am now very happy with Truespace as a modeller and can't afford one of the 'heavyweights' Thanks in advance Rushy

The vertices are getting reordered in the process. Have you tried John Wind's Compose Java App? It should be linked in the Utilities section of the FreeStuff. -JH.

Hi Rushy After exporting as "morph target" i change the obj with explorer in cob format. Thereby i scale the file up to 1000. After opening the cob in TS you may not chance the position of the target! If all is done, i transform the new cob with the explorer back to obj. And if i didnt forgot the scaling back it works. Hope it helps Harie

I think harie does what I do- Export the body part from Poser in OBJ

  • Convert to COB in 3D Explorer
  • I scale up by 20 rotate X 90 and Z 180
  • Open the COB in Truespace
  • Dont move the whole, just the vertices you want to morph.
  • Save in COB
  • Convert back to OBJ in 3DExplorer this time scaling by 0.05 and doing the rotate.
  • Back into Poser and load the morph.
