pic has been taken at the expo2000 in hannover, germany. the idea is to morph furniture out of the ground wherever you want in your house. you'll never need to by any chairs or so. it should work with nanomachines. maybe in 30 years? i'm the first one to have it! :) :) lars

That would be damn cool. Oooo all the things we could do! I could finally have my bubblewrap room... (Uhm...) The technology sounds pretty far out, nanotechnology is still mostly theory isn't it? Would be great if we could actually do those things though. I want a waterbed! push a few buttons and voila Cool photo :)

...spooky chair. But nice pic. I want my chair to be real wood, not these, machines and stuff. ...though, it looks pretty cool, and cleaning the house would be much easier... -n

Nano machienes actually exist. There are things like nano moters and the like. But practicle aplications except for prthaps chips are far off. After all how do we connect these devices to the "macro" world. This could be kinda neat. The visitors won'dfst leave. Just command the chair to bite them. =:-[ > Bsteph

Wow, it gives new meaning to furniture...Interesting the antique design combined with the future.
