Apologies all if this is not the appropriate location for this. So many of you have great work. I am looking to employ someone who has vue experience in creating backgrounds and forests for an animated kids tv series. The look has a hyper real look to it and would be a great opportunity to get some credit and recognition for their efforts. The job runs from an immediate start to early November 2007. Gareth, I applied for this and spent a lot of time preparing illustrations/images etc. I even cut my vacation short to check in with them, but it turns out they weren't that serious about hiring from outside because they hired internally. I was really bummed out because I saw it as a good opportunity too! Thanks

Beware of any job advertising for Vue skills from studios. Vue isn't that hard a software to learn and it would take minimal amount of time time for any in-house artist to get up to speed with...and it would certainly be a lot cheaper than hiring externally.

LOL. This is true. I learned my lesson the hard way, but i also didn't burn any bridges and asked them to keep my art/resume on file. I guess better luck next time. Thanks

And I understand where you are coming from Cheers and I can see the reasoning behind any studio's decision. It all comes down to cost in the end...
