Welcome to Vue!
Start off with the tutorials on e-on's site. They are pretty basic.
Get the book Vue 6 Reveled (I wouldn't bother getting the manual printed - it would be less expensive to buy this book!).
Look at the tutorials here on Renderosity. If you get stuck just ask!
Ask lots and lots of questions - we will help.

Yikes! $500!!! The manual is good, but not worth that much! Anyway, the pdf is very helpful. Whenever you see a screen/dialog box - look for a ? icon in the lower right. If there is one, clicking on it will open the manual to the correct section.

Hi!
I just picked up the Vue Personal Learning Edition, and am breathing deep as I take my first step into the world of 3d rendering. I was going to ask this very question, but I'm glad to see other people asking this stuff for me.
Thanks for the info from all.
They had chained him down to things that are, and had then
explained the workings of those things till mystery had gone out of
the world....And when he had failed to find [wonder and mystery] in
things whose laws are known and measurable, they told him he lacked
imagination, and was immature because he preferred dream-illusions
to the illusions of our physical creation.

After purchasing Poser 7 and having a blast with it, I decided to take advantage of the current sale on Vue 6 Esprit.
Now, the next step ...
Any recommended products for Vue 6 for landscape/scene design and Poser character rendering that I should consider getting?
Where can I find some basic tutorials for Vue 6? I have searched on Renderosity and on Google, but can't seem to find anything basic. I am having the PDF manual printed at Kinko's as I write this, but would like to supplement that with some tutorials.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. - I am a complete novice at Vue and 3d graphics in general, so products and tutorials that can be used by a beginner would be most appropriate!
