Subject: M3 Hi Map Textures

Hello:

I have noticed that when placing a detailed skin texture onto a Michael 3 figure (said texture is designed for M3) in Poser 7, Mac/Intel version, that although the texture appears to be almost photorealistic on the un-rendered figure, subsequent firefly final rendering seems to considerably degrade the detail.  I suspect that the error may lie in an omission and I am hopeful that one of this site's experts can point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance.

Try turning off texture filtering for every texture and bump map on the figure There's a Python script that can do this automatically. Maybe someone will post the link to it. If not, search the Python forum.

The quality can also depend n your render settings. What are your settings?

Thank you all.  Turning off texture filtering  as described in a prior post has resolved the render detail issue.
