Subject: How do I stop MP reciepts being sent to my e mail?

Lyne ( ) posted Fri, 21 September 2007 at 9:47 PM · edited Fri, 07 February 2025 at 9:45 PM

I got a new e mail box just for 'rosity...and so far it is working great (no spam!) for all my rosity mail, BUT I do NOT want a copy of my store purchase reciepts going there - how do I stop that, but not stop getting ALL my other notices from here, from galleries, comments, new products, coupons etc.??

Thanks,

Lyne

You're automatically emailed a receipt for each purchase Lyne.  I don't think you can turn that off, but to be absolutely certain, I'd have to check with the programmers.  But I'm 99% certain that there isn't a way to turn off purchase receipts.

Girl, with that SPEEDY GONZALES connection you got goin' on over there, just delete them as fast as they come in hehe  Seriously though, I'll check with the programmers on Monday to be absolutely certain :)

Thanks Debbie,

Had a feeling might be the case...and yes, shall have to "re-train" myself to "run" over there and delete them as I used to with my old yahoo... So far KNOCK WOOD my new account has not got spam! (trying a different web based free mail service)....

Thanks for checking anyway... would be nice to be able to pick which items we can get notices of, like we can for IM's and forums etc...

Anyway... thanks!

If your email allows POP3, you can always set up a "Rule" and have those particular emails sent to a folder of it's own.

Or you can use the "mail forward" and  have the email from that address forwarded to an address you do use.  Mail forwarding doesn't contribute to spam because basically all you are doing is setting up an automatic mailing to yourself from a different address.

My email address for here is gmail and I it forwarded to my outlook express from my gmail.

In my Outlook Express I have rules set up to funnel newsletters and gallery comments into their own folders. I also have a rule set up that automatically deletes mailings that contain certain words IE: Viagra! LOL

You can set up a rule to have the receipts put into a special folder of their own.

heart whatever they might have to say." - Ghandi
