Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 1:20 pm)
Are you referring to the stone wall behind the figure?
"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
Strange. It looks like a speckled, glossy floor and wall with the "subpatch" turned. There's only a smooth curve where the floor and wall meet. I doubt anyone is selling that prop, but you could probably create something like it yourself with the poser primitives and the material room procedural textures.

I'm a complete clutz at making my own models..don't have a clue what a subpatch is..and wouldn't know how to create it in Poser if my life dependent on it. *

Someone might be able to walk you through this. Many do it by accident. They create a sword in Wings and are amazed to see it blow up like a balloon when they import it into Poser.

The curved floor/wall intersection is probably Daz Cyclorama or RDNA's Infinity Cove just with a speckled/stone texture applied to it instead of a scenic picture.
You could PM Coleus and ask him/her how it was done.

Here's one I use all the time. It has the curved edge.
Its under Poser props. Its about 30 seconds worth of modeling.. :-)

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
just pee on it and walk away. :-)

The TXT file is actually a ZIP file. Rename it to a zip and then unzip it.
(I'd normally put the ZIP on my website, but the website is jammed up
for some reason right now.)

Quote - Thanks Ockham...it worked. You are clever - how on earth you made a poser prop out of a txt file beats me..but it works fine! Just what I wanted. Thanks also to onnetz...I'm about to try out some of your nice IBl lighting! **
**
Ockham changed the file extension to .txt so it would upload to the forum.
BTW, Poser geometry files (the format is Wavefront OBJ) are actually text files. You can open one up in a text editor.

I recognise that backdrop. It's the Amphi backdrop prop by 3dCritter. I searched for it in the MP but I don't think it's available anymore.
Which is a shame, I bought it and use it all the time. It works great with almost any scenic photo.
Probably a victim of the ware house / clearence policy.
Try emailing him. Maby he can work something out for ya.

I want to make a backdrop like in this product shot:

Can someone tell me how it's done or where to buy such a prop?
Thanks.
