HI guys im trying to make a cloth pane primitive reflect the figure standing infront of it. I have been trying to follow Baggins bills tutorial here :http://www.runtimedna.com/mod/forum/messages.php?ShowMessage=266073

But there seems to be no effect what so ever.

I am using 3 lights: 2 IBL and an Infinite i have tried bothe the fresnel way and the more complcated way and still nothing.

Are there any really obvious and common problems that i may be missing!>?

Hope you guys can help, if ya need any more info to understand what ive done wrong then please ask!

Thanks

Have you turned raytracing on?

LOL - aint that the way of it.  It could just be yet another of those "poser things" - ive got one thats mind boggling, i cant figure it out, but i did find a work-around for it.  if i apply a mat i made and saved in my materials, then go to the pose room, the settings completely vanish and it reverts to the original.  my workaround is to apply my mats, "copy", got to pose room, go back to mat room, "paste", go to pose room, go BACK to mat room to verify - and suddenly, it works.  its only doing it on one item (but all 16 different mat files i have for it), so i dunno.  shrugs

sometimes just rebooting poser fixes those odd issues... sometimes it takes a computer reboot.  personally, i think poser gets tired ;)

haha, that seems like a right pain! I think computers in general get tired and start doing strange things, but i must admit poser does seem to do it more! :D
