Hello,

I just bought Baby Dylan from Cubed, and now i have to decode it from .rte to .obj, and i need help doing that. Im in the program rte java now, and when selecting a file it says select .rte file, so i selected the file, now it says select key file... what is the key file?

The key file is the OBJ file used to encode the rte.  The info should be in the Cubed baby readme or available at the cubed website.

That link doesn't show the readme file for the package.

What you need to do is read the "Readme" file that came with the Dylan package. It should tell you how to go about decoding the file.

Is it for Millennium Baby 3?

Basically what you do is open RTEncoder.

Locate the coded file (Dylan one)

Locate the .obj file for the figure that the package works with IE: Millennium Baby 3

Then decode by pressing the button.

I had to email their support staff, what had happened was that the .obj wasnt even included, so they just attached it to my email... thanks alot!

Hmmm!  The .obj file isn't supposed to be included.  The .obj file is the mesh that the package works with.

The .obj file should have been one that you already had in your runtime folder. In this case the Millennium Baby 3.

They should have only included the encoded .rte file, not given you the Millennium Baby 3 .obj file.

I suspect daz would be all over them if they were distributing Millennium Baby as a freebie. but it might be the encoded obj file they e-mailed her, and not the MB file.

ISTR that the key file in this case is the P4 Baby the geometry for which is found in Runtime/Geometries/NudeInfant

If you have P6 or P7, you'll need to uncompress the OBZ to get the OBJ file for decoding.
