Subject: Poser Explorer 1.4.3 in freestuff

yarp ( ) posted Thu, 31 May 2001 at 4:08 PM · edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 10:59 PM

Hi Pos'ettes and Poser'dorks, 1.4.3 is out on freestuf. This is at last a close Windows Explorer, with the great Cut/Copy fix - this was hard you know. I now consider P3dO to be a good Windows Explorer. There are 2 others features to complete: a good image browser, a good Poser Explorer. Here's the list of what's new in this release: - Favorites panel in directory view - - Enhanced image view with Large Icons/Small Icons/List/Details view - Windows file association for Poser bump maps - Picture Preview for Poser bump map files (.bum) and Paint Shop Pro Image (.psp) - 19 new images files - Go To menu with Poser dedicated Goto's - Resize large pictures to fit screen option in Preference/Zoom - Restore default button in Preference/Desktop - Possibility to add folders - Possibility to rename folders - bug fix on cut/copy - bug fix on 16 bit color .RSR (who knew there were ?!?)

1.4.3 is a new turn in P3dO project. We now offer translated P3dO: French and Portuguese this week, German and Spanish next week. More to come. We are still looking for volunteers for Russian, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese,... The volunteers only have a one shot 4/8 hours job to do and we engage not to spam them for further translations. We reward translaters twice : by being warmly thankfull and by life time credit in the P3dO Release notes ;)) If you volunteer please drop us a mail at translate@senosoft.com Coming 1.4.4 is a major turn too. Vue d'Esprit files support (with picture preview, heyah ;), AWK plugin, a new stuning About Box - I really find it nice, sorry - and a setup program. Hey Yarp what is AWK then ?... thank you to ask. AWK is acronyme for All you Wanted to Know about poser but didn't dare to ask, I also call it AyWtKapbdndta ;)) AWK is the beginning of Poser Exploration in itself, to be improved steadily from 1.4.4 to 1.4.6 untill the 3D view. 1.4.4 imager has also been improved and the zoom is now instantaneous. I consider 1.4.4 as the first real professional good looking P3dO. Last but not least SENO has not moved but we have a new URL: www.senosoft.com Please update your bookmark in case we move, and be sure we will. My personnal mail box has changed either, my new adress is: yarp@senosoft.com

Good news, Yarp. Thanks for the notice. You are making an amazing program. I look forward to the Vue support, too. Thanks for making P3dO.

I have to admit that I had never really used Poser Explorer before. I had downloaded a version some time ago, but never actually got around to using it. I have downloaded this latest version and been playing with it for a few hours while working within Poser. I am amazed at the time savings it affords me. This is truly a remarkable piece of work, yarp! I love it. The ability to scan through poses in seconds rather than laboring through Poser to find the pose you want is cause enough to use this. Thank you for making this available to us. As a fellow Vue user, I look forward to your Vue integration. Again, thank you!

Always good to see you here around and have a new Poser-Explorer - you all know: I would be totally lost in Poses without this superb-thing. Hmmm - even with P3dO I'm - lol - but I see an island in the sea :o) Thank you - Yarp - very much !!!

Yes yarp, thanks alot! I agree about it being a major time-saver; it is all the thngs that the Poser interface should have had to begin with-- I HATE having to scroll endlessly in a straight line down through Poser's library window, especially with as many poses, props, etc, etc... I've accumulated. P3DO ROCKS! And, you know I'm looking forward to the Vue viewer too. :) -Mike

Hi Yarp - thank you for this one! Is a .pz3 viewer still in the works for a later version? I'd pay for that option...

yarp ( ) posted Fri, 01 June 2001 at 11:31 AM

Thanks to all of you too, It's a good and great community there. mjustmike, I'm happy Poser was made that way, this gave me the opportunity to make P3dO ;)) BillyGoat, the .pz3 viewer is still what I would love to do and will do. I just lack time. August is still reserved to this viewer but last year I had to make the 3D engine and it took more time than expected. The .pz3 viewer (See3d) is and will stay free, like P3dO. My policy is not necessarily to give all for free but what I think everybody needs to live. Isn't a 3D viewer essential in modern life ? ;)) Then I will make pay some options in the future - at a fair price - in order to try to earn enough money to buy time and to make greater tools. If I could spent all my time on P3dO you can't even imagine the time it would save to you ;)) Now I've got good news on this subject I found a new job where the man knows that I'm fond of graphic programming. I'm pretty well paid and have a free day each week (I work only 4 days). A free day for P3dO, See3d and the others to come... this is SOooooo great. The P3dO Vue Explorer is coming soon, the beta will be available in just ONE week. I'm looking forward for this too...
