Hello again,

I tried downloading MS Visual C++ 2005 (which replaced 2003 edition). This is the recommended tool to compile B 2.45 under Windows. However, I get just vcsetup.exe with size of only 3MB. Is it really all I should get besides NETframeworkSDK and debugging tools? Can a compiler with libraries, and all stuff "weight" only 3MB?!

AFAICT, you also need to get "Visual C++ 2005 Express SP1", see Step 3. -> http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/express/aa975050.aspx, and the "Platform SDK" to build Win32 applications, see -> http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/express/aa700755.aspx
These two things will raise the downloaded amount considerably.

I don't know much about Visual C++ (I've only studied VBA and ANSI C), but I did read something that might help.

#blendercompilers

It is better to do one thing well, than to do many things and excel at nothing.
