THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: What are friends for, long distance or otherwise

skiwillgee ( ) posted Thu, 18 October 2007 at 8:59 PM · edited Fri, 08 November 2024 at 5:21 PM

Hi guys.  Over the past couple years I've witnessed a few folks here that shared their good times (I'm still envisioning Ang25 dancing with Quest), vacation holiday photos, also their losses and pains in this forum because we are family at least in having a common interest.  A number of you gave me advice when my daughter was visiting the UK.  I, at least, have not had to sit in any comfy chairs.

Next week I will be going under the knife for cancer.  I hope I'll have some time to play with some Bryce and other heredic aps after a much needed computer rebuild during the recouperation period.  If you see me posting stuff and thinking I have slipped even farther in skills... well that might be the case... but I will post some older stuff that were simple but I still like them for some reason or another.  Remember me in your prayers if you will.

Willie

I'm sure you have dozens of reasons to get well quickly, but, remember, one of them is you have a lot more renders to share with us. And you tend to feel less ooky when you have something to keep you occupied (as in banging head on desk). This is scary stuff, having been there. Just focus on what is right now, and hurry back. ;)

It's at times like this when I wish I could render a time-machine to send people like you to the future where such operations and recovery procs are over and done in nano-seconds.

Would that we live in such advanced times.

Stay as well as you can and give those hot nurses a run for their money! I expect to see you back here in rude health soon!!!

been there, done that. The surgery's not too bad (as long as you don't try sudden movements shortly afterward), but chemo is a pain. Hope everything goes well, I know something of what's ahead. Good luck.

Hi Willie,
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers too. Positive attitude is a big plus when pulling thru anything and of course humor helps. .

Life is what happens to you while you are making other plans. I'll say a prayer for an easy procedure and swift recovery.

skiwillgee ( ) posted Sun, 21 October 2007 at 8:01 PM

Ang,
If I get a dance with you, virtual or otherwise, I am not keeping it a secret.

Thanks everyone.  I am content with all this mess.  God didn't promise anyone a bed of roses but He did promise to be there with me.  I am veryyyyyyyyyyy coooooooooool with that.

All my best wishes, look after yourself Willie.

My uncle just came through a fast tracked op' for stomach cancer - and is doing very nicely.  Just don't run after too many of those nurses!

I'm back at home now.  The doctor says it went well.  Thanks friends for the kind words.

Oh, by the way, I knew things were not going to be well when I saw the comfy chair in the operating room with a wild eyed cardinal assistant sharping knives.

Ang25 ( ) posted Sat, 27 October 2007 at 1:20 PM

Glad to hear you're home! Time to render (but get lots of rest too).
