I have never posted a product for review so please bear with me if I muck it up a bit. (or advise me if this is the wrong forum for this posting please)
In 2002 I did a M/S office course and part of it was building an excel database. I used our credit card as the input data and used it to learn how to put in clip art etc. Hubby and I found it was sooo good at helping us budget that we still use it today. I have often wondered if something of this sort would be of help for artists here to keep a track of thier purchases. It is sort of aimed at the hobbyist or semi pro who cannot afford/doesnt understand myob/quicken etc. I don't intend it to replace the persons' tax agent at tax time as I think it is a bit basic for that. It is more a tool to keep track of things.
My intent is to have two versions:
A basic free one with a couple of columns that add itself up and the person can just keep banging the info in to keep a record of purchases.
Then a more complex one that breaks up the purchases into catagories to better organise and review the outgoing expenses. I am thinking as well to have it for merchants to keep track of what is sold so they can plan which items are worth spending more effort on.
I am including some screen prints to give you an idea of what I am talking about.
I would like some people to test them and give me feedback on useability and what price range would it reasonably be aimed at.
I am open to suggestions for addons but my excel is a bit rusty so complex formulas are not my best suite.
Thanks in advance.
Jenny
