Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
Check out this thread
"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
Those 2 are completely different models and not "Millennium" ones so they don't share textures with anything else. You can use poses made for other figures with them though but you have to tweak the poses.
There is a fair amount of content for Terai Yuki in the MP here.
So far as Maya Doll is concerned, I know I've seen some free stuff for her. I think she can use "Anime Doll" stuff too.
You can use the following links to search for content both free and commercial for those 2 figures:

Thanks alot I think those links have alot more resources then I originally could find thanks alot!
Don't let failures get to your heart, and also do not let success get to your head.
Since I don't want to make a new thread i'll try asking here, The firefly render engine is great and all but, its not very stable at the moment, What program can I export to which is the best for using poser content and be able to animate and use it the same way I use in poser?
Poser is a great Character Tool But I want to be able to animate my scenes in the future and I want to try other render engines as well
I heard alot of names being thrown out there, Bryce, Cararra, Vue 4D Cinema, Shade
Basically what has the best render engine and the most compatible with Poser Content?
Putting aside money not being an issue, The sky is the limit
I heard Max and Maya had a hard time taking in Poser Content
And Also what is a good program to make figures, clothing props and hair for poser? or Can I do all of that directly in poser?

I use Vue to render poser files myself. Works pretty well. I used a demo of Cinema 4D with a demo of interposer pro to get Poser content into C4D - Renders very fast but is horribly expensive

Between Vue and C4D which looks better or about the same as firefly? In your opinion?

Either of them will blow Firefly into the weeds without even trying. Both have proper GI, radiosity and lights
C4D is a complete modelling/texturing/animation/rendering package where Vue is more suited to producing landscapes etc. I'd have to say the C4D render engine (Advanced render module) is probably better than Vues in terms of speed and you can also use different render engines in C4D. Hell of a difference in price though - C4D is a few thousand dollars if you get all the modules in it where Vue is a few hundred

Thats good to know, too bad 3DS Max or Maya isn't well suited for this.
How would I be able to import files back to poser with C4D? Is that possible?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to learn as much as I can, and any info I can get is great

so far as I know, it's a one way process. You can either set up your scene in Poser then use interposer to bring it into C4D or you can create the scene directly in C4D - Interposer can read Poser runtimes quite happily and you can load and conform figures/clothes etc.
I only played with it quite briefly but I was seriously impressed
[edit] you could export from C4D as a .obj file and reload it into poser I suppose if you were desperate but you'd lose the ability to pose it then

If that is the case, Can I create everything I need in Poser? If yes, then I think that is everything I would need.

you can't create new stuff in Poser - it's not a modelling app, it's just for posing and rendering. Try the demo of C4D and interposer - see if it's what you are looking for. The only restriction on the demo of C4D is that you can't save renders or export stuff (I think - it's been a while since I've played with it)

Well, you can to a limited extent in the setup room.

Thanks, I will try that.
I heard Blender was a good app to model stuff for poser, is that true? It looks really robust and powerful
As reffered here

If you want to give Poser some reinforcements, you can do so very cheaply by downloading Blender and then join the DAZ Platinum Club and buy Carrara 3D Express (it's $90 retail, or $20 for PC members). If you're already a PC member, even better. That gives you everything you need to create new content, as well as render it with proper lighting and effects.

Good to know, thanks again, you all have been very helpful

Just for my reference
Step 1Creating Content
Blender, Carrara, Zbrush
to>
Step 2 Character set up with content created in Blender, Carrera or Zbrush
Poser
to>
Step 3 Final Render and Animation from Poser (Other render engines then the firefly)
Bryce, Cinema 4D, VUE
Would those be the appropriate programs for that type of workflow?
I am going to try out all the programs and see which ones are better suited for me.
If anyone else knows any other good final render programs, Please feel free to add. Maya and 3DS Max is out of the question I assume because I rarely hear those get used to render poser scenes.

Your workflow ideas are correct. Additionally, you can reimport to Blender, which can also render with several great third party renderers (although some are not so easy to setup).
You're somewhat correct about Max and Maya. Their price point is such that if you buy one of them, you're better off spending the time to master their character animation tools, rather than trying to get Poser content into them. There are a few such renders here and there, as some people do use Poser content in Max/Maya, but it is rare.

Hello, I am a new poser user, learning my way through and I was wondering the pair ups for poser
There are always 2 characters that share and use the same clothes or is based on off another
Such as Aiko 3/Hiro 3, Maya Doll/Anime Doll or Couples like Victoria and Michael
for the Terai Yuki 2 is there anything that comes close to it in a Male form? or any couple poses for it? What other clothes and Morphs that will work with a terai yuki 2? So i know my options for clothes and other things are not just limited to terai yuki 2.
Thanks in Advanced
