Hi, Has anyone with a mac been able to open pz3 files? I have Poser 6/7 and Carrara6 pro Thanks in advance, Jean-Luc

Hi Jean-Luc, You'll need the free upgrade Carrara to version 6.0.2 You can find the updater here: http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/support/downloads/-/?product=car_down Mark

Hi Mark. Installed the 6.02 update and the Interposer for Carrara pro 6 but it still doesn't work. It loads the file for a while and the I get a message to find the pz3 and then nothing loads. As for the native importer, it gives me a message that it was unable to import the pz3. I'm at a loss here as to what to do. It works in C5pro. Jean-Luc

Hmmmm, mildy strange. Try resetting the C6 preferences - that can fix a bunch of issues.

reset the preferences and tried on 3 different systems with P5 P6 P7 with the same result. 👎

I don't know what to suggest then. I just completed a project working with .pz3 and C6.0.2 and wasn't having any problems. :-P Are you importing the files via Transposer or are you dragging the characters into your scene directly from the browser?

Importing pz3 through Interposer 2 doesn't work at all. Importing pz3 through native importer doesn't work. I can load figures and poses through the loaded runtime but no pz3. Are you running a mac? Jean-Luc

Yep, running a full complement of Macs in this studio. Do you have the P6 or P7 runtime selected for importing directly out of the Browser? Mine is aimed at P6. A quick check shows you've read this thread (http://market.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2716855) and that process isn't working for you either.

That is correct. Tried it and no go...

I emailed Daz for support. I'll keep you posted thanks

same here, i am on mac 10.4.10 with cp6, but how to tell what level? there is no about screen that i can see. but i am also using cp6 in a virtual mode, and the runtime is on the mac side. there is no poser.exe on the mac side, so transposer is too stupid to know this (or perhaps i am too stupid for trying it). i can get some figs into cp6 using the drag from runtime in the content browser of cp6, but anything with clothes seems to bomb. arg...

Still haven't heard from them...

coocooFORcocoapuffs ( ) posted Wed, 21 November 2007 at 4:32 AM

i am having an easier time getting .pz3 files into Vue 6, it just imports them without all this transposer/runtime adding stuff. but the figures look a bit strange!

HAWK999 ( ) posted Thu, 29 November 2007 at 6:00 PM

Ok, copied 50gig+ worth of stuff from P7 to P6 runtime. Got some results from Interposer. All I can say for myself is "stay away from anything P7 and C6" It doesn't work with pz3's saved in P7 so I resave in P6. Thanks for your help(but this doesn't apply to DAZ) Jean-Luc PS: the reason my runtime files are in P7 runtime is because if they are in P6, P7 can't find the proper files. P6 has no problem finding the files in external runtimes

interesting, so if i dig out my poser6 cd, install that with c6 on the bootcamp side of my mac, then copy my poser7 runtime from the mac os side, u think i will have a better time with transposer? then maybe sync the runtime folders and do work in poser 7? sounds like an idea!

HAWK999 ( ) posted Thu, 29 November 2007 at 9:21 PM

To be clear, I copied the geometrie, the librairies and the texture folders not the full runtime
