I'm not getting a single ebot from Renderosity. I get the newsletter and special mail outs because I'm a vender, but I'm not getting ebots about comments on my images, ebots about posts from my favorite artists, or ebots about response to a thread I've commented on. And I always check bulk before deleting spam and I've checked my profile to make sure my email is still correct. This problem seems to have been going on for the last week and a half for so.

No, I do not use Outlook. You couldn't pay me to use that program. I've got an email address at Yahoo and I read my mail online.

I've got hotmail (hey, it's free...;) and get all my ebots...

Sorry, had a workman over to sweep the chimney and then had to run to the grocery store. I don't know what the heck is going on. No ebots at all. I put up a portrait in the Poser gallery last night. It has 8 comments and I didn't get an ebot about any of the comments.

sigh Still no ebots. I don't know what's going on. I have the box down there checked that says Notify Me When Someone Replies.  I don't know if it's Rendo, or if it's Yahoo.

OK, we know that Yahoo does typically have issues with Renderosity ebots. Now the vendor emails and the gallery/forum emails come from two different addresses. What I would suggest is that you enter "ebot@renderosity.com" into your Contacts on Yahoo. This hopefully may have the effect of whitelisting ebots.

The other thing you can try is to set up a new temporary email account somewhere else and change your settings here so that all mail from Rendo is going there. If you receive ebots there okay, then it would indicate a problem at the Yahoo end, and you can try working with their technical support to get it sorted (good luck with that though, because I've never had a sensible response to any tech support question I've asked of them...)

Normally (normally) everybody who has got an internet connection also has got at least one real eMail address. Use this or just set up with one of those 1.99 providers - everything is better than freemail.

Well, I checked because I thought that I did put the ebots from the Galleries into my Contact list, and yep, there it is. My original email address on Earthlink is still connected to a username here that I don't use anymore, but I have a gallery under, so can't go that route. I had a hotmail account but just don't use it, not even sure if it's there anymore. (Hate MSN anyway). Maybe it's some sort of Yahoo hick-up, because this only started happening to me in the last couple of weeks. I get the Renderosity newsletter. I also get the automatic bots when someone has bought one of my products. It's just Forum posts and gallery comments that aren't getting to me. I'll have to think about what I'm going to do. But not tonight. It's halloween and I've already had some trick or treaters show up to the door.

Can I suggest getting a Gmail account?

It's free and works very well. It also groups your emails in the same "conversation" together, so if you receive more than one email from the same source in 24 hours, it groups them together. So, for example, if I post an image in the gallery and get 8 comments the same day, I'll get just one email in the inbox that says "Renderosity Galleries (8)".. clicking on it then shows all 8 emails in the same window.

And you can use Google's search engine to search through old emails.

There are only very discreete text ads, no annoying banners.

And well.. some other nice features also, so just a thought in case you haven't tried it :)

At least, I've never had any problems with ebots there.

As I said we have encountered problems before with Yahoo Mail and ebots. All we can say is that the ebot gets sent out at this end, but we don't know why it doesn't get delivered :-(
