How do I convert all these .jpg files to .bmp so that I can use them?

Foxhollow ( ) posted Sun, 03 June 2001 at 9:18 PM

why would you have to convert them? many programs and viewers can save them in other formats...ACDsee is one of the best

Must be running Poser3. As Foxhollow says, lotsa programs can convert from JPG to BMP.

When I try to use the jpg textures in a render they don't work. The bmp files do. I am running Poser 4. If "lotsa programs can convert" please tell me which ones and/or how. I have Corel photo paint but can't find out how to do it.

I don't have Photo Paint, but in most paint packages you will find an entry on the file menu called "export" which will offer a variety of different file types or it might appear on the "save as" option. Poser 4 should work with JPG - most of the textures in my poser directory are in that format. - Mark

Try Graphic Workshop - http://www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/gwspro.html#download It's shareware, and can do batch conversions. Check it out - the free version never expires.

Thank you all for the answers. I am now playing with the textures as jpg files and having a lot of fun.

Try Irfan. It's free, fast, and works with a LOT of formats, and can do batch conversions.
