Subject: Billboard

Can anyone tell me why the picture doesn't show up on the billboard, I followed the tute on this subject but it dosen't work for me, even when I render it

Is it showing up as a dark square or is it simply invisible? (sometimes the texture room doesn't always show a good version of what is seen in the assembly room) AVI's are sometimes exported witih an alpha mask that may be creating some issues. Mark

I also used a .mov file and it does the same thing, when I use parametric mapping under under projection mapping in the shade tree everything shows, am I not supposed to use flat mapping while using the billboard?
Everything is showing up as a dark square..

Ah, a closer look at your original screen capture shows the problem. Sorry for not seeing it earlier. You don't need to do any special mapping if you are using the billboards from the insert menu. So, either trash the current billboard and insert a new one or, in you shader tree, simply drag the multi channel mixer up onto the Flat Mapping branch - it should replace it. I just did the stock billboard with a movie here and everything works like it should. Mark
