Odd they don't allow nipples to show in the gallery but you can show them in the store? Not second or third page but on the main thumbnail?

Circumvent ( ) posted Sat, 10 November 2007 at 5:45 PM

There seems to be tassles over the nipples so thats probably why it was OK to post.

maybe more people will buy those things if the nips are showing. it appears to be a vickie torso glued onto a giant spider's head.

Marque ( ) posted Sat, 10 November 2007 at 5:55 PM

I already sent them! If you call again they will put you on hold. You couldn't tell from the subject line that it was a joke?

Here's the relevant section of the TOS regarding nudity in thumbnails:

*"No areola or nipple exposure"

*The areolae and nipples on the pic are covered, so there's no breach of the nudity guidelines.

Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.

Yes, as SamTherapy stated, that's not a TOS violation.  The nipple and areola are clearly and completely covered.

They skirted the TOS.

Still a soft porn nude in my opinion.

Wow, the Empress of Racnoss is a soft porn nude? I bet you enjoyed last year's Xmas special!

Just kidding. I'm having difficulty imagining a woman with the lower torso of a spider as anyone's idea of porn, but each to their own!

well, on a serious note... it does open the doors for merchants to just put pasties on thier models to get near nudes into the first page of their promos....

nice lateral thinking! I like!

Hmmmmmm - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2681544&page=1

No nudity in the image showing in the opening post, yet supposed nudity in the image that was pulled in the thread I linked to!

The image wasn't pulled, but you can see the nipples and areola through the lace.  The nipple area is visible, so it's considered "nudity" by site standards.

You are playing semantic ok it wasn't pulled, a slip of the keyboard, but there is no nipple showing. There is more nipple in the MP than here.

Yes, there is.  Open the full image, and you can clearly see the nipple through the lacy poncho.  That's why there's a nudity flag on the image.  You may not agree, but that doesn't make it so.  Even casette rendered the image without the poncho (you can't see it anymore, I believe he removed it from his site), but the nipple underneath was in the EXACT location of where it was pointed out on the (model's) right breast.  I'm not going to hash out an old thread with you, but, if you actually read that thread, jumpstartme2 even pointed out what is and isn't acceptable, including reference to nipples, areola, and breasts.  Breasts are ok, so long as the nipple/areola area on females are covered.

How can it be "playing semantics" to give a correct version of events?

If someone reports that "Old Mrs Smith had a heart attack and died" and I say "Oh really? I heard she just had indigestion and in fact she's perfectly okay" would they be justified in replying "You're just playing with semantics"?

Sorry, Karen, but in my opinion, it is. :)
Im talking about the image in the first post.

I don't care what kind of character it is.

You and I both know the reason for that image
and that figure. If it was fully clothed would it
sell? Nope. And yes, I know what it is.

Personally, not my taste of something to buy.

Actually I didn't realize they were covered when I first saw it. Looked like dark nipples to me. Seems strange how some things are ok here and some aren't. Started this as a joke and what a can of worms. I'm not impressed with a lot of items in the market these days, and this is just one of them. Seems like there are a lot of folks just barely changing something or sticking a torso on a horse or other creature and calling it good. Oh well, I just don't buy the stuff.

Ardiva ( ) posted Tue, 13 November 2007 at 6:37 PM

To my estimation, the "pasties" look like nipples.
