What did you buy with your $5.00 gift certificate from Renderosity?

I've been lacking in "normal" poses for M3. All of my M3 poses are fantasy art, model or lazy-looking, sprawled in a chair type poses.  So I bought some normal chair sitting poses for him.

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=13572

What have you bought?

Well, I've had my eye on this hair so I went & used my gift voucher, it's the Action Hair from Pretty3D. In the end it's cost me less than £2, brilliant! :thumbupboth:

LOL, not many, but there are a few. The ones I found are for M2 and do require some tweaking for the arms, but they look normal.

I find most poses for the male figures to be grossly exagerated and too heavy on the warrior/fighter/model/stud/crotch grabbing/trying to look sexy/slob etc.  There are hardly any really normal looking everyday type poses for normal chair sitting, normal standing etc.  Most have the figure sprawled on the floor or furniture legs apart and showing off their "stuff",  LOL !  Which is why I tend to not work with male figures very often because I find most of the poses availble for them to be really stupid looking.

Currently going through clearance section - I'm at page 57 ATM. With PayPal account being empty until next PP payday I have to find something interesting for exactly $5. Any suggestions? So far I have wishlisted two male shirts and one male pants, a lot of Aiko shoes, two hairdos, toon mushroom house, some tile merchant resources and pack of textures for MilHorse. Did anyone find something brilliant and cheap at the same time? ^.^

Okay no one yell or anything as I don't exactly know if this is "wrong" or not. Say I went to Villians wishlist and purchased her A3 jacekt for $7 dollars and she was to purchase my sweater set for $5 as she only has that amount. So in essence I am giving her only $2.00 so her gift certificate doesn't go to waste. Is there a rule against that?

vilian ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 5:40 PM

hugs Awww! That'd be so sweet :) Officially there's nothing wrong with that, just a simple gift exchange - if it works this way that is. It should, in theory. I've limited my wishlist to Private though. Someone recently told me that having public wishlist is like public demanding for gifts. It hurt me a bit and my wishlists everywhere are 100% private now. $5 is a lot of money too so I'm looking for such toys today instead of additional gifts or loans :)
I feel proud and happy being a part of such supporting bunch of great people ^.^ hugs

You're wishlist is public if I'm not mistaken. I went through your homepage link.

I see you have the A3 jacket in there. I'd rather you get that than end up with something for exactly $5 dollars that you didn't really want or  for the cert to expire. Which toy were you looking at?

vilian ( ) posted Sat, 17 November 2007 at 6:16 PM · edited Sat, 17 November 2007 at 6:28 PM

Now I feel soooo stupid... I forgot there's a page 2 of my wishlist, and obviously store software thought I want to leave that second page untouched - public as it was ^^;;;;; If you're sure you want to make me a gift, I'll repair wishlist to more human look ^^;

Edit: it more-less looks like it should, almost no really expensive things - these dreams I keep to myself ;)

To my knowledge it is fine to do that.  Last time there was a $5.00 I saw someone post that they used their's to buy a gift for someone else.

So if you buy her something for $7.00, and she in turn uses her certificate to buy you something for $5.00, that would work :)

I have the same problem but still find it worthwhile to buy other
people's products.  For example, Richabri's hotel lobby was the
item I bought with this gift cert.  There's nothing in the model that
I couldn't build easily, but Richabri's vision is different from mine,
so the product is interesting.
