The actual size of the thumbnails in the gallery is fine at between 100x100 and 200x200, but I really don't think the maximum file size of 15k is appropriate for this size range.
I use Photoshop and I find it almost impossible to save a 200x200 JPEG at less than 15k, even at the lowest quality available in that program. So I end up having to save a 100x100 JPEG at medium quality to get it below the 15k mark.
I must admit that I've noticed most other people who use this site have 200x200 thumbnails for their pictures, but they must be using a different program to compress them.
Anyway, I think 30k would be much more suitable as the maximum. Even 20k would be a vast improvement and I'm sure there's enough room on your server(s). ;)
Other than this minor complaint I love this site!
