November Challenge - DIPTYCH/TRIPTYCH
Thanks, Denger, for coming up with a terrific theme! I think it will be a great challenge! Thanks also for providing some good info for everyone.
Let's run this until the last week of November, I will give you a day or so heads up and if anyone needs more time they can let me know. You may enter an existing work if you like, but we would prefer to see a new work created for this challenge... it IS a challenge after all, lol! You may enter more than one work, but remember that in the voting, each entry will be judged separately. Please, please, please put titles on your entries, especially if you have more than one.
Let your imagination flow!!!

Ah, now this is indeed a challenge. I'll see if I can dash off a trilogy before the deadline. Something along the lines of the Lord of the Rings, perhaps. ;-) Just kidding.
I actually have an idea cooking, but it's still in the fermentation stage. This should be an interesting one. Congrats on last month's win, by the way. ~jon

I'm really having fun and enjoying all your entries. This is my second entry, it's done with Apophysis and PSP. Hope you like it ;O)@ Tom! I know how you feel about using our photography talent for these challenges. I find it difficult sometimes "create" something smashing and makes sure stand out work. You doing a marvelous job IMO. I realy got my eye on a running post and a cloud triptych is looks great. Never thoght of using one picture and dividing it and playing with perspective, very creative, like a bay window view.

I will be closing this challenge to entries on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 23:59 Renderosity time unless someone tells me they have a really hot render going and need a bit more time.
I am really impressed by our entries this month. There are some really fascinating images included here!

**Hello, Everyone!
Viv asked me to start this thread —

The theme for November is Diptych/Triptych.****
From the ArtLex website:
diptych — "A picture or bas-relief made of two panels hinged together, often an altarpiece. Also, any picture consisting of two individual surfaces."
triptych *— "A painting or carving that has three side-by-side parts, panels, or canvases. Typically, a triptych has three hinged panels, the two outer panels designed so that they can be folded in towards the central one.
A triptych can also be, more loosely, something composed or presented in three parts or sections.
'Triptych' has come to us from the Greek 'triptychos,' formed by combining 'tri-' ('three') and 'ptyche' ('fold' or 'layer'). Although 'triptych' originally described a specific type of Roman writing tablet that had three hinged panels, it makes sense that the word was adopted first for a three-paneled painting, and then to include anything composed of three parts. 'Triptych' can even be used as a synonym for 'trilogy.'"*****
