Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 01 9:10 pm)
The best solution is to use Ajax's EZ-Pose to rewrite the CR2.
EZ-pose adds a complicated set of ERC actions which let each
segment control the others smoothly in several directions. (Wave,
curve, twist, etc.)
Look in the marketplace under Ajax and I think you'll find
the EZ-pose application......

Thank you for the reply.
I didn't find anything like a "generic" version of Easy Pose by Ajax in the Marketplace, only some product-specific items with Easy Pose applied.
Does anyone recall if there is a Python script for this?

Hmm. You're right, the builder app ("EP Underground")
isn't in the MP. Maybe Ajax will see this and pop in with better info.
I've thought about doing it with Python, but it would be a lot of work
and would more or less duplicate the purpose of Ajax's app.

Try D3D's Chain Pose script in the freestuff, see if that works better for you.EasyPose Underground 2 is currently on sale for half off at Content Paradise.
Thank you muchly, Raven. That's the script I was looking for. I also will go get the EasyPose Underground app. that you and Ockham mentioned.

Hi guys,
I was just doing my once in a blue moon search the forum for my name to see who's talking about me and came across this thread. I don't really have anything to add except that EasyPose Underground is now sold at RDNA and Content Paradise. I don't know why it's 50% off at Content Paradise at the moment, but it certainly makes Content Paradise the attractive place to buy just at the moment :-)

If its a simple chain you can add the erc control manually in wordpad. Its a bit tedious but doable.
There is a pdf document on erc controls available at http://www.rbtwhiz.com/rbtwhiz_ERC.html,
or http://www.atlantis23.com/erc_download.html
The easypose utility is certainly worthwhile if you are going to do very much.
Chains mess up because there are too many degrees of freedom in the joints. So unless you pose each joint individually Poser messes up . In Daz studio simply select the range of all chain parts , and move the selector to bend the chain. The multiple select in Daz studio removes the need for simple erc code .
Definately get Easy Pose if you're serious about rigging neatly behaving things.
I have it, and it's really really slick, and I barely scratched the surface of what it can do.

Thanks to all respondants. I purchased EasyPose, and will play around with it. Sure looks like its can do a lot of really neat things.

I have some Poser items that are "chain-jointed" (i.e., a rope, a strap, a belt, some chains, etc) with one of the body parts that all of the others follow when translated, but I can't figure out how to make them mover the way I want. For example, I try to make the rope go from straight (as if its standing stiff) to smoothly drooped, and it gets all cork screwy. I thought I recall see a Python script to help with this problem (or a tutorial even?). It also should help with posing things like snakes, etc.
Anyone?
