The Challenge page is now open - Follow this link to get to it.
Have fun - i think i might just enter this one, been meaning to do a Cartier-Bresson take on Stratford Upon Avon - well at least the "find a space and wait for some life to fill it" part of his photography.

Whats's ging on?
The way to submit has changed. getting following message
"The image you uploaded was not a valid file type or exceeded the size limits. Your entry was saved without the file(s), and will be reviewed shortly."
Being a contest manager last time I know what I'm doing, There was nothing wrong with my image or thumb
ecurb - The Devil
The rules state that the image can be no larger than 1024 x 1024 but at the upload an image box, it clearly states in brackets 800 x 800 max - perhaps if your image is larger than that, this could be the reason behind it not uploading??
Not sure but just my ten penneth worth LOL!
Will be back on line in about two weeks, so maybe both Carl and me will enter this month??? It will be good to get back on around the galleries and forum though.
Happy December to you all!!
Hugs

It seems to me that the programers put a hard image size limit on the contest..
I don't recall anyone telling us about it..
I'll have to change the challenge page...
Also, To eliminate any confusion, there is now an option to close the contest auto-magically..
So, we won't have any issues with that again..

Yes, thanks Bruce. So to sumarize, images must now be a max of 800x800 pixels in size and no more than 200KB. Thumb requirments remain the same. Perhaps the programers will change that again after the Holiday contests are over.

I've never looked into these genre challenges before - at least not from the POV of someone who might participate - so I have to ask for a clarification. It says on the challenge page "Please keep postwork to a minimum, unless specified for a genre." Now, what exactly is "minimum"? I could change the whole appearance of an image with just a few mouse clicks within a minute, but I take it minimum here means a minimum of change to the appearance of a shot? Correct?
Yes, it's a photography challenge, not a photoshop challenge..

I'm looking into it..
There is a new option for me, to have it close at a certain date and time..
The problem right now is, I can't find where the hell the automation moved it to..
The link still works..but..I don't know where it's stored..

Ok, it's fixed now...I checked the wrong time to close it...12PM instead of AM
and the automation moved it to a different place than I thought..again..my mistake..
hopefully by next month I'll figure out these new features
