A big thanks to everyone who pointed me in the right direction and to bloodsong and Lannie for their dog morphs. This is what I was able to come up with using those morphs. The texture is Lannie's Weimeraner texture - I'm going to make a new one as Lucy, our late greyhound was a brindle - but this one is very nice. If there is any interest, and I can get bloodsong and lannie's permission, I'll post this to the freestuff.

Here's the grey hound with the quick brindle texture I made based on Lannie's Weimeraner texture. This looks a LOT like Lucy the Greyhound we had to put to sleep. She was a very quietly friendly dog. I'll miss her alot.

The texture could still be improved to look more like fur rather than a herringbone pattern, though.

Brindle's have that sort of herringbone striation throughout their fur. I had both a brindle, and a fawn colored whippet... they were the joy of my life. They are a miniturized sighthound that is a great deal like a greyhound, but much smaller. I would love to have a copy of your character, if you choose to share it. I miss them so terribly, Tinker and Felix, to this very day.

Me too! I hope you share the grayhound. I have a friend's birthday coming up. He raises sighthounds (borzois, salukis, deerhounds, etc.) and I would love to have the model to use for his birthday card. Thanks ahead-of-time!
