Subject: make your own judgement

early this morning at sunrise I was downtown Dallas taking pictures and freezing.I got what I went after plus something else.on the southern approach to Dallas Love field the jets fly very close to downtown and I always shoot them when I see a chance.well I had my wide angle on and not so good for distance shots but still yet I was trying.after uploading the pictures on my computer I seen an object in the sky above the jet. in the frame 26 the object is close to the horizon just above a building.in 27 the same object is almost directly above the Southwest Airlines flight.at first I thought it do be an insect on my lens but do to the temperature in the mid thirties and seeing the object much smaller and in the distance on the previous frame, I ruled out a bug. I have no idea as to what it is. I did use the high pass sharpening tool in pspx2

here is the link for both pictures in a zip. it is in my file locker here.copy and paste in your browser while logged into Renderosity.I will live it there for 2-3 days

**I think it's just a bit of dust on your lens, I also see many water spots in these images? little round circles??    I don't think its a UFO or anything!!! **

yes there was some dust on my lens but I do not  think it would appear smaller in the horizon then get larger.I do not think it was an ufo but I was leaving to the imagination of the members

Interesting. Was it windy enough that small light objects like leaves could be flying around?

OK, I'm going for UFO ... Because, like Fox Mulder, I want to believe! ;o)

Sorry I'm going with dust or dirty some where in your camera body.
I've got plenty of shots where the dust 'shifts'.

I believe but this is not really believable to me :(

Well the first shot I opened looked like it could have been just another plane in the distance, maybe taking off in front of an approacing plane, but heading in the same direction.

The second photo had a much larger object that could only be likened to the oblisk in "2001 a Space Odyssey"!!!! LOL :P

PeeWee05 yes I agree with you but what got my attention was when the object was farther away it appeared smaller and then when close to the jet it was larger.the capture prior to 26 had nothing except the jet and 28 had nothing either.I did clean mine lens and sensor/mirror today.dust sure has a magic way of getting everywhere

the first looks to e some dust, or debris. The second likes like a part of a leaf falling. Was it breezy?

I do see movement in the one closer. At less it did not blow up or landed and blown up. Then I would say it was a small ground to air missile someone fired at the plane.  Not sure what it is?

When you see on of those unidentified things there is generally not a camera at hand...humm..then when you get a shot it is dust or leaves or something else normal?

These things disguise as dust bunnies all the time..it works to effectively discredit the photographer.  : )
