Subject: DEM for MAC (here we go again)

Hi all :-) Ok, so noooo... i do not want to bore you guy's and girls again with the DEM-Vue on the Mac subject here LOL ! I was just curious that anyone has this, or uses this: http://www.dvgarage.com/prod/prod.php?prod=ttk⊂=samples And if so, what do you think of it ? Thanks Wim

Both links worked for me.  

Looks like a pretty nice prog, I do not have it, and DEMS, well trying to get them from the GOV is like trying to pull teeth from a Crock with a toothache.  So this looks like a nice alternative.

What they call DEMs seem to be be mere 8bit jpeg images created out of real DEM files. You are not going to get much surface details with this.

What res and bit level should good DEMs be?

Should be 16bit, in a non compressed format, typically tiff.
