Subject: Upgrading to Vue 6 questions

FCLittle ( ) posted Tue, 04 December 2007 at 9:15 PM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 4:51 PM

So I'm thinking of upgrading to Vue 6 and I was wondering if someone could give me some help deciding on which version to get.  What are the differences between Infinite and xStream, for instance.  Also, is there a way to upgrade to either of these versions from Vue 5 esprit?

Thanks for your help!

xStream is a plug-in for high end programs like 3DS, Maya, Lightwave, etc.  If you don't have one of those programs, it's not any different than Infinite.

It's a great time to ugrade since e-on is having a 25% off sale.  The bad news is that the upgrade to Infinite is not part of the sale.  My recomendation is to upgrade to Vue 6 Pro, and than later upgrade to Infinite.  Price for Vue 5 Esprit to 6 Pro is $187 for the download version.  The upgrade from Pro6 to Infinite is $299.

It's $599 to go from Esprit 5 to Infinite 6.  Going in two steps will save you money (187+299 = $486)...

This is exactly how I did it ... I upgraded my Vue 5 Esprit to Vue 6 Esprit.  Then I bought all the modules which gave me Vue 6 Pro and then I upgraded to Vue 6 Infinite (and I got my Inf upgrade for $199 which was a real steal).  I don't have a need for xStream so I didn't bother going that high.
