Poser Python Scripting F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 02 3:16 pm)

We now have a ProPack Section in the Poser FreeStuff.
Check out the new Poser Python Wish List thread. If you have an idea for a script, jot it down and maybe someone can write it. If you're looking to write a script, check out this thread for useful suggestions.

Also, check out the official Python site for interpreters, sample code, applications, cool links and debuggers. This is THE central site for Python.

You can now attach text files to your posts to pass around scripts. Just attach the script as a txt file like you would a jpg or gif. Since the forum will use a random name for the file in the link, you should give instructions on what the file name should be and where to install it. Its a good idea to usually put that info right in the script file as well.

Subject: Python Create FBM code

Anyone know the code for creating an FBM dial on a figure once the morphs on each body part are all dialed up to 1? I know I've seen it somewhere but don't recall where.

Can't you just use the poser option to create it?

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

I can but I want to make a pose file that loads the PMD Morphs, Dials them all up to 1 and creates the FBM all at once for the end user. Otherwise I have to explain how to make the FBM in a readme and that involved more writing than I want to do. :tt2: I know I've seen the python code for doing this somewhere and it was one or two lines of python max so I'd rather do that.

Ok I found what I'm talking about in Jame's AddFBM Pose file but it's not python, though it does call an addparms python script that I've now modified to work for my FBM's for Ben. The user will have to install this script to their main runtime for the FBM Injection to work.
