Subject: The PIcture BELOW ME....

Liam. ( ) posted Wed, 21 November 2007 at 2:50 PM

Not sure if it's anyone else's idea of "safe" but this place is it for me. One of the closest parks where I'd go as a child and run these paths up and down. I feel safe when walking and thinking (preferably alone) so this is as safe for me as you can get:

Now show me something wild, please.

They told me I couldn't post this in the galleries, but this was the first thing that came to mind when I saw Akemi's request, and there are only a few of you who will see this.   These are some of the people who are nearest and dearest to me.  I am so thankful for their love and support and friendship.  I am also so thrilled to have people in my life who, when I say "okay, everybody put your napkins on your heads" laugh and put napkins on their heads and let me take their picture.  Life really doesn't get any better than this.  (Sorry for the poor quality.  This is one of those things where the content is SO much more important than technical proficiency.)

I gotta ask..why couldn't it be posted in the galleries?? Racial predudice against napkin kind??"?

Looking through the peephole.

.... show me your draw full of cutlery.

auntietk ( ) posted Fri, 23 November 2007 at 12:58 AM

What a creative way to show your front door!  I love it.  :)

I think they didn't want to look silly in public.  Go figure! I mean really - can you tell who any of these people are?   How bad could it be to be known as a Napkinhead?  :)

I don't keep my cutlery in a drawer - it's on a shelf in a plastic silverware holder thingie.  It's too late to set up a shot like that - I'm off to bed - but if it's still cutlery on Saturday, I'll give it a go.  In the meantime . . .

it's still "Show me your drawer full of cutlery!"

Not one but two, the larger one is just a pocket torch, fits into your top pocket, the second one is a torch, a laser pointer, a stylus and a pen.

Show me some Jelly / Jello

This is homemade cherry-rhubarb jelly.  Is this a flaw in translation?  I think you were looking for gelatin, not fruit spread for toast, but hey - this is what I have!  :)

Show me your favorite book.

I don't do Pancakes but my daughter like them now and again, I'm afraid this is the best I can come up with. LOL.

Show me some 'Bling'.

TomDart ( ) posted Wed, 12 December 2007 at 7:12 PM

file_395440.jpg

This is Tweety Bird (maybe tweetie, I am not sure)...this is expensive bling. A supposed rage among those who can afford pricy trinkets to wear around.  Most bling I see is lightweight and large and thin and lots of flash for a little cash. This birdie is not that sort of bling.

Show me a big toe, clothed or otherwise.  I cannot show mine.

This is the first time I play this game. I hope I did it right. Let me know if I did not follow the rules.

What happened to the image that markablue submitted in response to,

"Show me....something safe" as requested by jedink

That image from markablue had been located at

Quote - I did not see the image and now am quite curious.

I'm sorry. This was a friend's webspace, I moved my entire gallery just recently. I thought everything I posted here was hosted with photobucked. Sorry for the confusion.

Here's the repost, then, this location will be permanent:

Now back to the topic, huh? Jingle Bells - I'll pass on that one. :-)

Thanks to markablue for adding a good link.

OTOH, I am curious as to why you didn't simply use the "Attach a File"
and "Browse" button to upload the image to this renderosity thread.

I guess I could have but what difference would it have made? I couldn't edit my previous post so I'd have to post the whole thing again anyway. Attached or not...

My thanks to markablue for responding to my question.

I'm sorry that I used some sloppy wording.

This is what I really meant to ask  ...

OTOH, I am curious as to why you didn't simply use the "Attach a File"
and "Browse" button to upload the image to this renderosity thread
on Wed, Nov 21, 2007 when you originally submitted the image?

Ah, well, I guess I never thought about it. Some people use Rosity as their host for the forum images, others don't. I suppose I'm used to a different kind of software that only shows attachments as thumbnails. I do it out of habit. I prefer hosting my own images, I guess.

I apologize if this caused confusion. I promise I won't move my gallery anywhere else and everything will stay in place. :-)

I knew i shouldn't have used an acronym. TPBM= The-Picture-Below-Me. I wanted to see something funny, hence TPBM is really funny. in another forum i frequent they use acronyms like TPBM, TIBM etc...

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

TomDart ( ) posted Sun, 23 December 2007 at 2:39 PM

Acronyms?

Radlafx ( ) posted Sun, 23 December 2007 at 3:32 PM

Acronym: noun a word formed from the first letters or syllables of other words, such as UNESCO (from United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). v.t. to make an acronym of; designate by an acronym. Ex. Missiles are frequently acronymed; the TOW stands for "tube-launched, optically traced, wire-guided" (New York Times Magazine).

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

TomDart ( ) posted Sun, 23 December 2007 at 3:45 PM

Actually, I knew what the word meant...however you do offer some interesting ones.  TOWs may be more on target than UNESCO..

MGD ( ) posted Sun, 23 December 2007 at 5:13 PM

BTW, another good one (acronym, that is) ... ROTFLMAOWTIME ...
